Appassionata performs in the Montreal Museum of Fine Art’s new Bourgie Hall in a series that includes musical promenades and museum discoveries. Previewing its American tour, which is scheduled for January 2012, the orchestra will play Dvořák’s Serenade for Strings for its benefactors. The evening will also include a dinner cocktail.

For its first performance on American soil, the orchestra is the guest of the Mary Anne Rennolds Chamber Concerts in Richmond, Virginia. Appassionata interprets Quebec composer André Prévost’s Scherzo for string orchestra, Dvořák’s Serenade for Strings and accompanies renowned Canadian pianist Richard Raymond in Hindemith’s Four Temperaments and Chopin’s Andante spianato and grande polonaise brillante.
